Got Coffee?

Women, Work, and Community and Coffee By Design are once again brewing up a special blend of “My Mom’s Coffee” for the month of May.  Mary Allen Lindemann, owner of CBD,  approached WWC 2 years ago as a partner in their  Community Coffee Program.  “My Mom’s Coffee” offers a win-win opportunity by promoting an exemplary Maine coffee business and raising funds and visibility for WWC programs statewide. A portion of every bag of this special blend coffee will go to WWC.

WWC’s graduate Ambassadors are helping to organize sales of “My Mom’s Coffee” at a variety of venues throughout the state, including the First Friday Art Walk in Portland. Coordinating with Coffee By Design’s campaign, several Farmington businesses  are also  contributing a portion of their sales to WWC the week before Mother’s Day.

CBD’s Community Coffee Program supports non-profits and encourages CBD customers to join in their commitment.  Mary Allen noted:   “In these difficult economic times, we know that the monies our community partners receive are put to good use and go far.  The work that Women, Work, and Community does pays dividends for Maine today and will help us build a stronger Maine for the future.”
