We are excited to welcome our new Operations Manager, Rachel Boynton. Rachel will coordinate our administrative & financial systems while also providing data management and support to staff statewide. She joins our staff from the Maine State Housing Authority, where she recently held the position of Financial Officer II.
Prior to joining New Ventures Maine, Rachel coordinated the Section 8 contracts for low-income housing across the State of Maine; managing several information systems to ensure timely rent payments and compliance with federal housing guidelines.
She is passionate about economic empowerment and the alleviation of poverty for Maine families and recently served as Site Coordinator for the local CA$H tax clinic held at the University of Maine at Augusta.
Rachel holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the University of Maine at Augusta and is pursuing a Master’s in Business Management from Thomas College.
New Ventures Maine, a program of UMA and UMS, helps people all over the state venture in new directions by offering tuition-free programs for career, business and financial education. Training is offered in person and online.
