We are excited to welcome our new Administrative Specialist, Emily Pettengill, to our Administrative Team!
Emily will be providing part-time administrative support in New Ventures Maine’s Augusta office. When you call our 1-800 line or stop by for in-person services, Emily will be the person greeting you.
Emily served as an intern at NVME in 2016 and 2017. In this role, she helped with outreach and focus group projects. Now, she is happy to be joining the NVME as a permanent staff member.
In addition to her role at NVME, Emily is a self-employed musician and artist, active in Augusta and Portland. You may have heard her perform at NVME’s Legislative and Funders Receptions! Emily also attended classes at the University of Maine at Augusta for Jazz and Contemporary Music, with a concentration in Music Education.
In 2017, under the direction of Alyra Donisvitch, she worked with her husband and local artists, Clint Pettengill; the Kennebec Leadership Institute; the Augusta Downtown Alliance; and the larger community to paint a mural overlooking the Kennebec River on Front Street in Augusta.
Emily is passionate about Maine people having access to education and financial stability tools. With these tools, she believes people can find success, empowerment, and help to enrich and enliven Maine’s communities, large and small.
