Women, Work, and Community Awards Downtown Dollars in Northern Maine

  Women, Work, and Community recently announced the winners of its Downtown Dollars marketing mini-grant competition for small businesses in Aroostook, Piscataquis, Washington, and Hancock counties.   The County Co-op and Farm Store on Main Street in Houlton received first prize of $400. Totally Trades Spring 2013

Successful Totally Trades events were held in April in Bangor at United Technologies Center and in Presque Isle at Northern Maine Community College.  Nearly 250 girls attended hands-on workshops in areas such as heavy equipment operation, construction,welding, cable technician and automotive.  In Bangor a panel of  women employed in nontraditional careers  offered personal insights around their chosen career paths and pointers for success in the field.  In Presque Isle a …

TOTALLY TRADES!
