Class Description

Are you working but thinking about retirement?
Are you already retired or semi-retired?
Are you unemployed or underemployed and wondering how you will even make it to retirement?

As the worlds of work and retirement continue to change, this eight-week course will help prepare you for your own encore years. Through in-class activities, discussion, and information gathering, you will be able to develop an action plan that will help meet your personal, career, and financial needs for the future.

–Identify your transferable skills and experiences and how you will use them in a new career or volunteering.

–Learn about income packaging and explore options for full- and part-time work or self-employment.

–Assess your personal situation and options.

–Hear from others about starting new careers, returning to school, opening new businesses, and engaging in meaningful volunteering after 50.

–Learn more about retirement strategies, health care, and staying healthy.
