New Ventures Maine (NVME) is pleased to welcome Jen DeJoy as Communications and Development Manager. Jen will help develop communications, marketing, fund development, and alumni engagement initiatives. She joins NVME after serving as college relations director at Maine Maritime Academy (MMA), where she guided a growing department and managed media relations, internal communications, and institutional publications.
Prior to working at MMA, Jen worked for Pica Design and Marketing in Belfast, Maine as marketing strategist and copywriter for the company’s roster of clients. Her previous work experience included communications and marketing for nonprofits, philanthropic foundations, and start-up companies in Boston and Seattle.
Having graduated from UMaine, Jen is excited to be working in the University of Maine System. She is dedicated to the advancement of NVME and to the tuition-free, statewide programs that help Mainers achieve their family financial goals.
