Beth Aspinall teaches classes and provides individual coaching to participants in the Lewiston area and statewide. Beth comes to NVME from Maine Immigrant and Refugee Services (MEIRS). As the convenor of the Lewiston-Auburn Housing Alliance, she led collaboration to improve housing equity and fund community-driven housing initiatives. Prior to her work with MEIRS, Beth served as a life navigator for participants in Maine’s SNAP Employment and Training program of Goodwill of Northern New England. Prior to moving to Maine, Beth worked as a housing specialist assisting residents receiving rental assistance in Brooklyn, New York and managed a domestic violence shelter that was part of the YWCA of the Niagara Frontier. Beth earned a BA degree from SUNY Empire State University and MA in Global Development and Social Justice from St. John’s University. Outside of work, she loves to read, and enjoys cooking, gardening, and being out in nature.
