Janet was hired as Executive Director in 2021 after 20 years on the NVME staff. Her work is focused on collaborating with partner organizations to make a greater impact for under-resourced people. As a workforce and asset specialist, she helped to develop NVME’s money-management and career planning classes and has taught statewide. With a passion for economic equality, she created matched savings programs for survivors of domestic violence and other populations. She earned a master’s of science degree in Adult Education from the University of Southern Maine and is a John T. Gorman Fellow and a graduate of Leadership Maine. Janet enjoys quilting, gardening, spending time with family, and experiencing Maine’s lakes, mountains, and coast.
