Kim provides career planning and financial education classes and coaching to participants statewide. Her previous experience includes case management for workforce and behavioral health organizations and direct service with diverse populations. Prior to joining NVME Kim spent seven years in workforce development roles at Eastern Maine Development Corporation (EMDC) in Bangor, most recently serving as Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act (WIOA) program director. Kim’s professional background also includes group facilitation, program development, supervision of case management employees, and supportive counseling. She earned a Master’s of Education degree in counselor education from the University of Maine and Bachelor of Arts degrees in psychology and criminal justice from King’s College in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. She enjoys spending time with family, particularly her wonderful grandsons, exploring nature or tending the garden.
