Leia works with NVME staff and participants statewide. Her professional experience includes providing support and project management for business start-ups through work at two Rhode Island nonprofit organizations: RIHub and New England Medical Innovation Center (NEMIC). Most recently, she was program associate for NEMIC, managing programs and providing support to clients, partners and participants as well as coordinating two accelerators and performing gap analyses for participating companies. Previous to her experience supporting entrepreneurial networks, Leia worked as assistant dean of admission for Wesleyan University and as admissions specialist for the University of Southern Maine, her alma mater, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in biology. Leia enjoys traveling, gardening, crafting, and spending time with friends and family. She currently lives in Rockland with her husband Reilly, their dog Moxie, and cat Puck.
