“The Career Planning class was instrumental in steering me in a direction that brought me great satisfaction and professional success” -Laurie (Central)

Are you interested in learning more about what career best fits you? Maybe you’re transitioning out of a job that no longer works for your lifestyle, family, or goals. Whether you’re just starting out or ready to change career fields, New Ventures Maine can give you the tools you need to take the next step.

Our upcoming class, My Next Career Move, will prompt you to think about what kind of work you might enjoy, how it would fit into your life and how to pursue your chosen career.

Using our career development model, you will review your skills, interests and experiences and relate them to career options. You may have had a job in the past that seemed like a good fit at first, but didn’t pan out. Many of us have. Taking this extra step to look carefully at ourselves can give us a better chance of feeling fulfilled, and getting what we are looking for from a career.

In a group of your peers, you will take charge of your career by creating an action plan to achieve success. We will identify high-growth job fields, explore education and training options, and strengthen your resume for a targeted job search.

Join us on February 9th to March 9th, from 10:00 to 11:00am. Sign up on our website. For more information, contact Thomas Grogan at thomas.grogan@maine.edu
