Free Hybrid Class to Build a Business Website is Open to Lincoln County-Area Business Owners In Person and Online

New Ventures Maine (NVME) in partnership with Empower by GoDaddy and Lincoln County Regional Planning Commission has opened registration for a free Build Your Business Website class. The goal of the class is for participants to build or update their business website. This free, hybrid five-week class is open to business owners in the Midcoast area to attend in person or online. The class starts April 3.

Class topics will include:
• How to build or update a website
• Getting found – Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
• Reaching your customers through social media and email marketing
• How to build an online store
• Branding
• Creating content for your site

This five-week class is designed to meet the needs of local businesses, to help business owners gain the knowledge and tools to build their online presence, reach their customers, and grow their business.

Classes are Thursdays from April 3 to May 1, from 3:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. The in-person location is Lincoln County Regional Planning Commission, 297 Bath Road, in Wiscasset.

“This class is part of our Business Booster Series, which provides business support and resources from service providers available to boost all types of businesses in Lincoln County,” said LCRPC’s Economic and Community Development Planner Alex Zipparo. “All are welcome to attend, and we hope our businesses in Lincoln County will take advantage of this excellent opportunity.”

This program builds confidence to manage a website, social media and online store with extra support through 1:1 mentoring. Participants will have a website ready to publish by the end of the class.
