WWC is working with the Maine Department of Labor, Center for Workforce Research and Information (CWRI) on a longitudinal study of employment and education outcomes for our program graduates. Early results for graduates of our career classes show —
- Graduating from a career class (Creating your Future and Career Exploration) has a positive effect on wages and employment.
- WWC services are reaching individuals at critical moments in their career.
Quarterly wage reports for an initial group of individuals shows a clear turn around in earnings. As the recession hit, many saw a dramatic drop in earnings; a year after taking the class, wages rose quarter by quarter.
