New Ventures Graduates Present Business Plans

(Aroostook County) Women, Work, and Community invites you to attend business plan presentations by graduating New Ventures entrepreneurs on Monday, December 3 from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM in Room 125 at the Houlton Higher Education Center. New Ventures is a comprehensive twelve-week course in business planning that guides new business owners and expanding entrepreneurs in developing a written business plan and a financial road map for their business. Each graduate will have ten minutes each to present her business plan and entertain a brief question and answer period.

2012 New Ventures graduates include: Morgan Albert-Denbow of Dame Good Soaps in Houlton; Cynthia Boisvert of Sissy’s Livestock Rescue and Farm in Oakfield; Donna Cushman of Sunny Crest Maple Farm in Reed Plantation; Wendy Folsom of Care 4 U in Hammond; Natalie St. Pierre of Social Envy Image and Event Consulting in Presque Isle; Melanie Thibeault of T-Bow Sheep in Van Buren; Diantha Turner of Moon Crazy Fibre Arts in Linneus; and Cj Virgie of Mountain View Doggie Daycare in Hodgdon.

Erica Quin-Easter, Microenterprise Coordinator for Women, Work, and Community and the trainer for the New Ventures class, noted, “We’re proud to welcome eight growing businesses in our Aroostook community. Our New Ventures entrepreneurs have researched their markets and set strong projections for business start-up. Thanks to the New Ventures program, they have a plan of action and are ready to build their businesses for success.”
