On October 23, 2015 over 130 girls from throughout Washington County attended the Totally Trades! Conference.  Hands-on workshops, such as Building a Birdhouse, Computer Aided Drafting (3-D printing), Small Engine Repair, Heavy Equipment Operation and Introduction to Video Production provided students with an opportunity to explore a career that women are often underrepresented in.

The feedback from students, instructors/workshop presenters, planning members, and chaperons seemed to confirm that this event remains pertinent, and provides an opportunity for girls to explore careers they otherwise might not consider.  As one student indicated on her evaluation, “I loved it!  I learned a lot and the day went awesome!!”
