Marketing Mini-Grant Awarded in Aroostook County

Congratulations to Great North Woods Herbs and Botanicals for being selected as our Fall 2018 Marketing Mini-Grant Recipient!

Great North Woods Herbs and Botanicals at a craft fairGreat North Woods Herbs and Botanicals will use the $500 mini-grant to develop an engaging website. The new website will help them increase the visibility of their business.  They also hope to develop consistently branded marketing materials as part of their overall marketing plan.

Their mission is to provide quality herbal and natural products for both a local and national market.  They ensure this quality by hand-crafting all of their products in small batches. In addition, they use high quality organic, wildcrafted or locally produced ingredients. They also work directly with farmers and other producers who support pure ingredients, sustainable growing and harvesting practices, and preservation of the environment.

Suzanne Senechal-Jandreau, NVME’s Regional Manager/Workforce Development Specialist in Aroostook County, served on the grant review committee.  She shares, “Marketing mini-grants offer businesses an opportunity to access additional funds to help grow their business.  Each marketing project can make a difference by providing a small influx of capital to help reach new or re-connect with existing customers.  A short application and a fair selection process ensure the impact of the funds on the overall business is supportive.”

More information about our upcoming Spring 2019 Marketing Mini-Grants will be available soon!

Support for NVME’s mini-grants program was provided in part from The Betterment Fund.
