We are excited to announce the recipient of our North Central/Downeast Fall Marketing Mini-Grant – Salty Dogs in Blue Hill, Maine!

About The Business

Salty Dogs is a dog training and behavior modification facility serving the Blue Hill and greater Downeast areas. Their mission is to educate dogs and empower their owners. They achieve their mission through positive, force-free, compassionate teaching. In addition to classes, they also offer private training. Their services are available to dogs of all ages, breeds, and ability levels. In the past two years, they have worked with over 1,500 dogs.

Using the Marketing Mini-Grant

Salty Dogs applied for the Marketing Mini-Grant to help them connect with new clients. They will use the funds to embark on a project to connect with local veterinary offices. Consequently, this project will help them connect veterinary office patrons with their services.

The owner of Salty Dogs, Whitney Thurston, says that raising awareness about her work with area businesses will be helpful in many ways. She shares that it will “strengthen my brand by reaching many new potential clients, and those most in need of training help: new puppy parents!”

We are excited to see the Salty Dogs grow through building relationships with local businesses in addition to reaching their mission of educating dogs and empower their owners.  We also hope they reach their goal of growing a community of well behaved, social dogs and responsible owners.
