The Midcoast Center for New Ventures Maine awarded a marketing mini grant in the amount of $1,000.00 to Apple Creek Farm in Bowdoinham. The farm is a MOFGA certified, second generation organic farm operated by Abby Sadauckas and Jake Galle.
Apple Creek Farm’s mission is to care for the land and the community through thoughtful stewardship. The farm produces certified organic, grass-fed beef, lamb and goat, as well as pasture-raised, certified organic poultry (broilers, geese and turkeys) and free-range certified organic eggs. Other livestock and value-added products include: hay, wool, cashmere, sheepskins and goat hides. All farm animals are raised with the utmost care for their health, keeping them free of hormones and antibiotics, providing them quality pastures and hay.
Apple Creek Farm products are sold locally in the Midcoast year-round at farmers markets and local food retailers. Sadauckas and Galle love raising healthy animals to nourish their community.
The marketing mini grant will support a minor website redesign for the farm and will allow the farm to build brand collateral to implement a year-round marketing strategy that includes season-specific marketing materials. The targeted marketing collateral will support farmers market sales, blog content and social media posts of the farm.
