We are pleased to welcome Kelley Glidden to New Ventures Maine as the Workforce Specialist in our Central Region.
Kelley is providing career planning and financial education workshops and coaching services for community
members and UMA students in Kennebec and Somerset Counties. Kelley is also on
the MoneyWise team, providing guidance on money topics. Kelley joins our
staff after many years as a program director, educator, and advocate for a
domestic violence program. This experience has given her an
understanding of the many intersecting challenges that individuals in our
communities may face. She is passionate about working to strengthen our
communities and connect adults with the resources they need to thrive.
Kelley grew up in Maine and worked in the non-profit sector since completing college. Kelley earned her B.A. from University of Maine and her J.D. from the University of Arizona. She is committed to education as a crucial pathway for individuals to succeed and flourish.
When not at work, Kelley gives back to her community by serving on the board of trustees of her local public library. She is an avid reader and knitter, and enjoys exploring the outdoor experiences Maine has to offer. She lives with her partner and three cats in the Midcoast region.
New Ventures Maine, a program of UMA and the UMS, helps people all over the state venture in new directions by offering tuition-free programs for career, business, and financial education.
