Venturing Forth is a 60-hour course in business planning. At the end of the class, you will have a completed business plan. The following topics are covered in depth: your customer, competition, marketing, record keeping, taxes, financing, legal aspects, and more. There are also 3 monthly follow-up sessions at the completion of the class.
You must complete an application, come to the orientation session, and have an individual interview to be accepted into the class.
Venturing Forth is open to entrepreneurs across the state. Opportunities to connect with regional business planning resources and staff are highlighted and encouraged.
This course qualifies for 3 Pass/Fail credits from the University of Maine at Augusta upon approval of your completed business plan.
Graduates of this course are eligible to apply for the University of Maine at Augusta GEN Scholarship, to be used at any University of Maine System University, Maine Community College, or the University of New England.
