Congratulations to New Ventures Maine (NVME) small business grantees from the Western, Midcoast, and Southern regions. Each of the featured businesses below have received Jobs for New England Recovery Grants of $5,000 each from Norway Savings Bank. NVME Welcomes Communications and Development Manager, Jennifer DeJoy

New Ventures Maine (NVME) is pleased to welcome Jen DeJoy as Communications and Development Manager. Jen will help develop communications, marketing, fund development, and alumni engagement initiatives. She joins NVME after serving as college relations director at Maine Maritime Academy (MMA), where she guided a growing department and managed media relations, internal communications, and institutional publications.

Supporting Encore Entrepreneurs

Our Microenterprise Specialists have supported over 200 encore entrepreneurs exploring self-employment opportunities through the AARP Foundation’s Work for Yourself@50+ program. The AARP Foundation has provided support for NVME to deliver the program in Maine since 2016. Older adults joining the program assess their skills, gain knowledge, and connect with resources to make an informed decision about starting a business.
